Perfect day here on the hook.
Breeze from the north. No humidity. Temps in the high 70's/low 80's. Clear and sunny. It is these days that make you love being outside and active. It is these days that make you love Prime Hook even more than you already do. It just can't get any better.
But there is the pall of the marsh ever present in one's mind. The marsh is silent at night. Frogs and peepers no longer sing their nightly chorus. During the day, it displays an ugly mat of yellow, brown, and other mixed colors of algae. It oozes towards the culverts. It clogs the culverts. It is an inhospitable mass reminding us every day of what our marsh once was.
